Lips are hidden behind a face mask, and the sale of lipstick has registered a fall since last year. As purchases of other cosmetics, especially those made for the eyes, have grown and demand for matte and transparent lipstick has gone up.
"Due to Covid-19, I rarely used lipstick because of wearing a mask, I started using mascara and eyeliner, and who will see you if you are behind the mask," said a Customer.
Covid-19 has impacted almost everything and also how the people adore themselves with makeup. A customer at Health & Glow said, "Since pandemic came to ease, I bought my favorite lipsticks and moved to smudge-proof."

According to Mordor Intelligence, India Cosmetics Products Market is expected to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 4.23% during the forecast period (2022 - 2022). While the cosmetics industry may be strong compared to other segments of consumers, the year 2020 is commercially poor. However, it is said that the industry will continue to be attractive in the future. The pandemic-related problem could highlight market-building trends such as the increase in e-commerce use rather than affecting a completely new environment. Almost all segments of the sector have seen a similar decline in sales during the COVID-19 period due to the closure of offline stores in various locations.

In addition, increased consumer awareness, the choice to buy improved skincare products that not only make them look good but also improve their skin tone and the growing tendency of young people to look at colored cosmetics are expected to further the Indian cosmetics market in the coming years.
